Pregnancy, childbirth and stimulation child born in drug-addicted mothers

Background: The use of addictive substances during pregnancy is a serious health and social problem. Pregnancy is, in itself, one of the most important and most critical periods in a woman's life, and addictive substances in this case are significantly complicated. Pregnant drug addicts need complex care, paradoxically, however, they often do not have access or use it to a small extent. Objectives: The aim of this work is to map the health and social care provided to pregnant women using addictive substance. In the Czech Republic programs are being implemented for mothers with children or pregnant women using addictive substance. Programs include individual counseling, psychotherapy, relapse prevention, family and partner therapy, parent groups, mothers and social work. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the health and social care provided to this client. Methods: Research is a series of case studies of clients focusing on personal and social history, on their somatic and psychological condition, retrospective view of the course of pregnancy, care of women during pregnancy. The plan of work is therefore the elaboration of detailed studies of specific mothers - users. Substance Misuse among Vulnerable Groups of Young People from Institutional Facilities

Issues regarding addictive substance usage are being intensively discussed these days. Significant changes within growing up periods of every individual make them very vulnerable. In this regard, growing up youth is considered as most threatened group. Jeopardy is even higher in the context of institutional rising. Particularly individuals in institutional care belong to most endangered group, with risk of early age habit-forming substance abuse. This dissertation is focused on addictive substance usage as a part of risk-behaviour syndrome while growing up. The aim is to introduce new findings in the framework of addictive substance usage by adolescents with decreed institutional rising and protection.

What would you do if you found out that your relative has a problem with alcohol? Mapping the subjective availability of addiction services and other resources to help

This work is concerned with how people solve the situation if they found out that their close person dependent on alcohol. The main research objective of this work is to analyze the subjective availability of addiction services The theoretical part contains a description of alcohol dependence, information about the medical care for alcoholics and information on the current situation in the Czech Republic, the self-help groups. The practical part describes the process of the research itself. First, attention is paid to the methods used, which were semi-structured interviews and then analyzed them using coding, segmentation and categorization of data. Further research file and then presents the results of research, ie 6 categories that emerged from the interviews. Among the most important results is that almost a third of the respondents would not sought any professional help for their loved ones and public awareness of treatment options is low. Furthermore, the results show that more nearly a third of respondents have no confidence in the health care system, much of the distrust was caused by their own residence in the hospital, where they received a negative experience. Interventions focused on the support of family members of person with mental illness.

(English) This diploma thesis deals with the issue of mental disorders and services provided to family members of people with mental disorder within a non-profit sector. The first part includes theoretical chapters which are processed by analysing available literature. The chapters inform about mental disorder, quality of life, and describe the care of people with mental disorders - particularly social skills and communication, housing, education, employment and leisure time. The theoretical part also focuses on social work with the mentally ill and includes a role of a social worker. In conclusion, the theoretical part describes the possibilities of supporting family members within the system of the care of persons with mental disorder, especially educational and psychoeducational programmes. The empirical part maps the current range of services for family members of people with mental disorder, and in connection with that, it determines what workers consider to be their benefit. Then, the views of family members on the psychoeducational programme and the current system of taking care of persons with mental illness were examined in a parent organization.
